It’s been a busy time during the last couple of month’s here at Colours on Grey.
It started with me completing the Waterfall Way Designs 6-week online course in website management and social media. The decision to take this course was so I could familiarise myself with the broader technology of website management and social media.
It was an easy way to study – in your own home and in your own time. I have yet to apply all my newly gained knowledge to my own website, – but hopefully it will happen soon.
I‘ve spend a great deal of time in my studio painting for my upcoming exhibition COLOUR CONNECT which is showing at The Glen Innes Art Gallery together with fellow artist and ceramicist Max Powell.
I’ve created more than 40 paintings of various sizes, not all ‘made the cut’ for COLOUR CONNECT, – but I am very happy with the selection that will be displayed.
As an abstract artist the connection with colour is one of the most essential expressive elements to my painting. Not just the bright and powerful colours but also the subtle quiet ones. I use colour to express the moods and the seasons and there is a distinct difference in the paintings painted during winter and the ones painted during spring/summer.
I would like to invite you and your friends and family to the opening of COLOURS CONNECT at The Glen Innes Art Gallery, 71 Grey Street, Glen Innes from 4 pm.
COLOUR CONNECT is open for 5 DAYS ONLY
from SUNDAY 1st December to Thursday 5th December 10am to 4pm.
Hope to see you there.
Best regards from
Marianne
