Lingering in Landscapes – a Whimsical Watercolour Workshop for Beginners
This is a 3 1/2 hour workshop for beginners and those with a bit of drawing and painting experience (aged 15 years and above).
Working with watercolour is one of the simplest ways to create beautiful images. With a few techniques you can learn the very basics of using watercolour. The workshop will focus on the outcome – beautiful, small colourful paintings of landscapes, seascapes or whimsical abstractions created by you.
By the end of the workshop you will have:
⁃ created a variety of small paintings
⁃ learned basic colour theory
⁃ applied techniques of watercolour painting
We will start off with a brief demonstration and a quick introduction to colour theory and colour mixing.
All materials used during the workshop are included in the price.
A ‘Watercolour Kit’ with paper, watercolours, paint brush and pen will be available for sale should you feel inspired to continue your creations at home.
Tea, coffee and cookies are supplied.
Numbers are limited to 8 students.
This workshop is held at ‘The Pop-Up Artist in Residence’ in The Old Holden Building, 167 Grey Street, Glen Innes.
To ensure your space, booking and payment is required by 4pm Saturday 19th June.
Tickets are non-refundable but may be transferred to a friend. If the class for some reason doesn’t go ahead, a full refund will be given.
