Flower Power with Watercolours – a Whimsical Watercolour Workshop for Beginners

This is a 3 1/2 hour workshop for beginners and those with a bit of drawing and painting experience (aged 15 years and above)

Working with watercolours is one of the simplest ways to create beautiful images. With a few techniques you can learn the very basics of using watercolour. The workshop will focus on the outcome – beautiful, colourful paintings of flower wreaths, floating flower compositions and whimsical abstractions created by you.

By the end of the workshop you will have:

⁃ created a variety of small to medium sized paintings

⁃ learned basic colour theory

⁃ applied techniques of watercolour painting

We will start off with a brief demonstration and a quick introduction to colour theory and colour mixing.

All materials used during the workshop are included in the price.

A ‘Watercolour Kit’ with paper, watercolours, paint brush and pen will be available for sale should you feel inspired to continue your creations at home.

Tea, coffee and cookies are supplied.

Numbers are limited to 8 students.

This workshop is held at The Pop-Up Artist in Residence in The Old Holden Building, 167 Grey Street, Glen Innes.

To ensure your space, booking and payment is required by 4pm Saturday 19th June.

Tickets are non-refundable but may be transferred to a friend. If the class for some reason doesn’t go ahead, a full refund will be given.

Please contact Marianne if you have any further questions.
