Well that was January gone! It went so quick !
Before I get into the madness of the ‘ week before the show ‘ I would like to say thank you to everyone who stopped by The Online Shop during the sale. I have sold all my remaining stock of art supplies, and I am now looking forward to continue a business (and life) surrounded by creativity.
The website is gradually being updated to suit the new direction alongside the development of new and exciting products and designs. More about this at a later stage.
One of the great events when living in a small Australian country town is the annual Agricultural Show (dyrskue in Danish).
The Glen Innes Show Society has been run by a large group of dedicated volunteers since 1869. It’s a unique country experience enjoyed by both us who live here and many visitors.
If you are not participating in any of the competitions you can just enjoy the displays and shows – or like I – set up stall and ‘show of your stuff’ that way.
This year I will have a stall at The Gourmet Fiesta – a venue in it’s 10th year of running focusing on cooking, wine and dine. Not that I’m a cook nor a winemaker, – but I do like to decorate a table.
My stall will be displaying handmade table decorations, cards and candles as well as beautiful handcrafted books for recipes and party planning. This is very different from what I normally create, but I have enjoyed the change so much, I even got the old sewing machine out – finally finding use for the stacks of beautiful Provence fabric collected over the years.
The Glen Innes Show kicks off on Friday 14th February and The Gourmet Fiesta Tent is open Friday and Saturday.
Looking forward to see you there.
Until next time ………….
Marianne
